WDBA’s legal team consists of Kathleen Roberts and Vicky Seaton Tuqeuro.

As in-house legal counsel, WDBA’s legal team helps the organization navigate the myriad of legal issues that face a large infrastructure project, particularly one that crosses an international border. This includes assessing and managing risk, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations in two countries and assisting with strategic decision-making.

Kathleen sees the Gordie Howe International Bridge project as “a natural fit” to her interest in cross border issues. She sees the project as a tremendous opportunity to use her background and experience to assist WDBA.

For women launching a career in law, Kathleen said, “Throw yourself into the profession, work hard, be confident in your abilities and be the best lawyer you can be. Determine what success means for you and consider what practice options allow you to achieve this, whether it’s private practice, public service, academia, or in-house counsel.”

As a life-long Windsorite, the opportunity to work on a project that will bring significant, long-lasting economic benefits to the community appealed to Vicky. She has been part of the WDBA team since May 2015.

Regardless of career path, Vicky feels it’s important to choose to do something you love.  To Vicky, to “BeBoldforChange” reflects a personal choice. “Being bold for change means living a life that maintains your integrity and beliefs, within the workplace and your personal life.”
