Woman holding a sign reading "I will be bold and forge women's advancement. #BeBoldforChange"

In recognition of International Women’s Day on March 8, we will be highlighting some of the women who contribute to the bridge project. Regardless of department, women are making things happen at WDBA. In fact, 44% of roles at the senior management level (director and higher) are held by women. Each day this week, WDBA will share a new profile of one of our accomplished female employees to our website and social media accounts.

At our executive level, four of six roles are held by women. Anne Mullen is the newest member of the executive team as the Chief of Staff and Corporate Secretary. In her role as Chief of Staff, she provides strategic advice to the President and CEO and ensures a strong link between the executive team, employees and key stakeholders. She joined WDBA six months ago.

International Women’s Day resonates with Anne. She said, “I’ve had the privilege of working at a place in time when women have the opportunities to pursue their goals and dreams.  This never would have been possible had previous generations of women not questioned the status quo and steered themselves and their daughters into a future of greater gender equality.  I hope that when my daughter joins the working world, there will be even greater equality – and that she will stop to reflect on, and question, the status quo.”
